Global Laborers for the Harvest
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Go on your way. See, I am sending you out like lambs into the midst of wolves.”
Jesus (Luke 10:2-3)
What is the Kingdom of God?
A kingdom is a domain or sphere of influence under the control of a king. The kingdom of God is the reign, dominion, and manifest presence of God “on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Jesus said, “...The kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21). This makes sense when viewing the kingdom of God not as a location but as a state of being in which the “heart, soul, mind, and strength” are surrendered and submitted to God and His will. Jesus commanded his followers, "...cure the sick who are there and say to them, the kingdom of God has come near to you” (Luke 10:9). He told the Pharisees, "...if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come near to you” (Matthew 12:28). Therefore, when the manifest presence of God comes near, sickness and demons must leave.
“The law and the prophets were in effect until John came; since then, the good news of the kingdom of God is proclaimed, and everyone is strongly urged to enter it.”
- Jesus (Luke 16:16)
